Happiness right off the side of the road

Here is a place where you will enjoy a slice of authentic Corsica, that which is timeless and can be found outside of the tourist season and away from the main drag.
A place where you will feel welcomed, whether it be for a good night sleep, a drink or a meal. Generous and unpretentious.
It's a bar, a tobacco shop, a restaurant, a terrace, and a few rooms.
But above all, it's a place of human warmth.

Chez Marie en Corse is first of all a story about a family. That of Marie Orsini, who grew up in Linguizzetta and who decided to create in 1967 her family boarding house along the National Road 198, stuck between the expanses of sea of the Costa Serena, the vineyards and the mountains.
And then that of Pascal Orsini, who with his strong experience in hospitality management, has decided at this day to take over the operation, reinvent it, but without losing its original spirit.

In the mood for a vineyard tour?
For lunch in a straw hut along the beach?
For diner in a hidden windmill far up in the hillsides?
For a scuba dive to search for a long lost bomber or a 1915 shipwreck?
For a hike that will take you up to 1100 meters in just 2 and ½ hours and from where you will find a 360° panoramic view of both sea and mountains?
Or for relaxing on a beach far from all the commotion?

You will find it all here, Chez Marie en Corse
Off of National Road 198, stuck between the mountains and the sea, right on the edge of the Castagniccia region and its large chestnut groves.  Large sandy beaches on one side and a screen of dunes, forests and salt-water ponds on the other, hiking trails through mountains and plains, traditional villages… this is what makes up the local scenery.

Very early on Pascal discovers the unique environment of this family boarding house and dreams of some day making it his own.  He takes the path of hospitality management and makes a first stop at the Grand Hotel of Cap Ferrat, then onto the Marriott Rive Gauche in Paris, his last positions at the R’Yves and Pin Up Kitchen comfort him in his desire and ability to create a world of his own.  The opportunity comes when his great aunt entrust him with the takeover of Chez Marie.

Following him in this venture is Sergio, passionate about great food and service, he brings his experience acquired at the Gstaad Palace in Switzerland, before joining Gordon Ramsey and Richard Corrigan’s team in London, and then Michel Rostang’s Ze Kitchen Gallerie in Paris.

They both wish to give new life to Chez Marie en Corse by offering top-notch service and making every guest feel welcomed.
